Sair heat pumps air conditioners have proven to be extremely reliable in the New Zealand operating environment. Sair heat pumps air conditioners are built by Midea Air Conditioning Joint Venture, one of the largest and most respected air conditioning manufacturers with worldwide sales of 20 million units per year. During the manufacturing stage, each and every Sair heat pump unit undergoes stringent performance tests and quality controls. In the production plant, units are subject to a continuous running stress test of over 500 hours, about 20 days. Compressors also go through an endurance test of continuous running for 500-2000 hours.

Sair customers can rest assured that we have done our part to help protect the environment for future generations as Midea, the manufacturer, has acquired the environmental management system standard ISO14001 certification, the new ISO9001 quality management system and the OHSAS18001 system of occupational health and safety. Indeed, Midea's quality evaluation centre has been recognised by Germany’s TUV Rheinland Group and certified to the British BSI and the ISO9001 (International Standard Organisation) quality management system.

Sair heat pumps air conditioners use only the environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant and comply with the European Union's Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive which limits the use of lead, mercury, cadmium and other hazardous substances.

In addition, Sair heat pumps air conditioners have been tested to the Australian and New Zealand joint standard, AS/NZS 3823.2. All Sair Super GT series have also been awarded New Zealand’s ENERGY STAR Version 2.1 mark indicating that they have been tested and exceed the stringent energy efficiency criteria for New Zealand’s harsh winter conditions making Sair Super GT series one of the most energy efficient heat pumps available in New Zealand.
